Blockchain Bomber Jacket

A wearable screen. The Blockchain Bomber Jacket carries a ten-inch full-color LED display across the back, so the wearer can show NFTs, images, text, and animated GIFs, uploaded through a companion app and changed at will. Built under Surelo, it treats digital images the way the rest of the work treats steel, as material.

It began as a single piece, made at the height of the pandemic as a way to stay connected to the outside world while staying apart from it. One jacket became something larger. A new way to collect art and to carry it in public, to put a visual language that had lived only online onto a body moving through the street.

The screen blends the physical and the digital. An NFT that existed as a file now reads as something worn and seen, carried past whoever happens to be there. Upload anything, change it whenever, on Android or iOS.

Nylon shell. A 5000mAh rechargeable battery runs it for over six hours, or it runs off any standard USB power bank. Available upon request, in limited quantities.
