This is the privacy policy for jordanbakercaldwell.com, run by Jordan Baker-Caldwell LLC in New York. It explains in plain language what this site collects and why. If anything is unclear, email hello@jbc.nyc.
The short version: nothing here knows who you are unless you tell it. You become a name only when you join the mailing list, send a message, or place an order.
QR Codes
The QR codes carry a short tag that identifies which code was scanned. When you scan one, that tag is stored along with the date and time, your device and browser type, the languages your browser asks for, your time zone and the hour on your own clock, the page you landed on, and an approximate city-level location. Your internet address is not stored, and none of this identifies you.
A cookie keeps that tag on your device for 90 days, so it can be attached to your message if you get in touch later. Clearing your cookies removes it. These records are deleted automatically after a year.
Mailing List and Messages
The name and email address you give are kept, along with your message and the date. That is stored on this site, and mailing list addresses are also held by Mailchimp, who send the emails.
This is used to reply to you and to send the occasional studio update. It is never sold, rented, or used for advertising. Every email has an unsubscribe link and it works.
Orders
Fulfilling an order requires your name, email address, delivery address and phone number. The order record is kept in case there is a problem with it later.
Card details never touch this website. Payments are processed by Stripe. Some items are printed and shipped by Printful, who receive your name and delivery address so they can send your parcel.
Other Services
The shop uses Meta’s tracking pixel, which tells Meta that a browser visited this site. Your browser settings and your Meta account settings control this.
Like every website, the server keeps ordinary access logs and caches pages so they load faster. Neither is used to profile you.
Your Choices
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@jbc.nyc and it will be handled. Scan records are anonymous, so there is no name or address in them to look up. Anything tied to your name or email address can be found and removed.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
