Story Tellers

Figures pulled from story. This series is about the power of story itself, something woven so deeply into us that it may be one of the truest parts of being human. Figures and icons carry instant recognition, which lets them speak across cultures and generations through visual language alone, and this work asks how they can speak to the present. By reinterpreting familiar iconography in steel, the series draws on that built-in recognition to interrogate the now, using what we already know to ask new questions about the moment we’re living in.
